Maryville City Council adopts 2020 strategic goals

The Maryville City Council adopted the Strategic Goals for the 2020 fiscal year during their meeting earlier this week. City Manager Greg McDanel says there are five major goals for the city staff to concentrate on in the next year.

"Those five goals will be focused on South Main.  Continuation of the Maryville Public Safety building and public safety in general. Downtown improvements.  Continued efforts on tourism and featuring our local assets.  And the fifth one is community and livability - increasing standards to the community.  This could be done through various things, rental inspection programs, housing studies, efforts to really increase the quality of life throughout the community."

The Maryville City Council is to continue their focus on the 2020 fiscal year budget in their next regularly scheduled meeting in September.
